Hi Michelle, The vascular doctor that diagnosed me in mid-December gave me a very specific plan to follow. In a nutshell, no white flour or sugar, no processed foods of any kind, no restaurant food, and only water. I started January 3rd and I am down 23 pounds. I typically fast until 11am and close my eating window by 7pm at the latest. I have noticed that my swelling/inflammation has improved. My PCP prescribed Lasix for the swelling and the vascular doc told me to ween myself off. I'm still learning about this condition and how I can slow the progression.

P.S. My husband is using Noon and has also lost 25 pounds.

Hey Jocie! That is a huge weight loss! I love the intermittent fasting window. I think if everyone omitted processed foods, and no sugar, no flour, that would help with weight management. I'm glad your vascular doc told you to taper the Lasix. That medication works for edema related to heart and/or lung issues, but not for Lipedema.

Thank you for the encouragement on the Noom app!

I've been using Noom for tracking calories and eating fresh foods. It's a work in progress. I bounce between a couple of pounds but have not seen a significant weight loss.

Wow, Lisa, that's fantastic! I love your idea of a week with your regimen and then a little more food freedom on the weekend so you don't feel deprived. I'm a huge coffee and sugar addict, so this is a great way to look at a diet without completely giving up on everything. I love it!
